SelectHealth EDI Claim Numbering System Change

Please be advised, SelectHealth has announced that they will be changing their EDI claim numbering system. The new alphanumeric format will consist of the following:

1st and 2nd characters: Last two digits of the year
3rd character: '9'
4th and 5th characters: Alpha
6th through 10th characters: Auto numbered
11th and 12th characters: Will remain the same and reflect any interactions of the original claim ID (e.g. adjustments and splits)

Example: 229AA0000000.

The change is scheduled to go into production the second week of August, pending successful user testing.
